Stephanie Nicole Hoover was an outgoing, beautiful 18-year old. She enjoyed living life to the fullest by spending time with her family, friends, and loved ones. She always had a smile on her face and a big heart to go with it. Stephanie dreamed of being a nurse one day and had planned to go to nursing school to become an RN after she graduated from high school. She cared for people and wanted her life’s work to show it. Stephanie's life was tragically cut short on March 9, 2016. This was three months prior to her graduating high school. Stephanie died in a distracting driving accident on the night of March 9th. Her passing has left a deep hole in all those who knew and loved her.
The Stephanie Hoover Foundation was created in her memory in March, 2018. We want to pass on her legacy by caring for the Harrisonburg and Rockingham County. We accomplish this by hosting blood drives at Victory Fellowship Church in Dayton, VA, having fundraisers such as Bingo for the Stephanie Hoover Memorial Scholarship and our 3rd annual Bike Ride at Blue Ridge Power Sport.
We are part of the Great Community Give because we are aiming to fund two $1,000 scholarships for two aspiring Nursing students in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County. These scholarships will assist these students with their future studies in Nursing, whether that be textbooks, tuition, or other educational funds. We appreciate all and any gifts made to the Stephanie Hoover Foundation.
