Who we are:
We are a multilingual, multinational team of six honoring the dignity of diverse experiences and backgrounds. In addition to one Department of Justice Accredited Representative who is authorized to practice immigration law, our team provides notorization services, helps contact respective Consulates, refers individuals to adult continuing education resources, works with the public school system, and much, much more.
We are honored to work with 8 volunteers who answer the phone, help clients to fill out forms, assist with document translations, research client questions, answer technology questions, and help out at so many of our events!
Our services include:
Immigration Legal Program -- We screen and represent individuals going through the immigration process. We also translate documents, take passport pictures, and communicate with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services in order to support our clients’ process. Cases involving immigration court in Arlington are referred to a network of local and regional attorneys. In 2018, we saw a 10% increase in clients screened or represented from the previous year.
Health Navigation Program -- Regardless of access to medical insurance, many people incur significant expenses for medical treatment. Our staff and volunteers help people apply for financial assistance and communicate with all of the medical offices involved in each hospital visit. in 2018, our clients received $382,685 in financial assistance for medical bills, a $250,000 increase from the previous year!
General information -- We connect clients with community resources including domestic violence support programs, legal and housing assistance, transportation, employment, and personal finance.
Community Education -- We facilitate educational workshops for professionals and immigrant families that want to learn more about the immigration system. Our workshops are collaborative, resulting in reports and resources that can be utilized by the community as a whole.
