The purpose of the Harmonia Sacra Society, Inc is to preserve and promote the influence of the Joseph Funk family on sacred music in the Shenandoah Valley. The primary function of the Society currently is to promote a capella music using the Harmonia Sacra song book at monthly singings throughout the Shenandoah Valley, including Page County. The long-term goal of the Society is to acquire the Joseph Funk house in Singers Glen, Virginia, as a museum and cultural center. In the meantime, the house needs repairs including replacing the siding on the dormers, painting the entire house and replacing the sewer pump and floats - for a total of approximatley $6,850. An endowment of $125,000 is planned to secure the ongoing maintenance needs of the house.
