The Boys and Girls Clubs of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County enables young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Our licensed programs provide affordable, safe, and developmentally appropriate programs to youth ages 5-18 in our community.

Briery Branch Community Club, Inc.

 A climbing wall made of used auto tires will be used to construct a climbing wall suitable for children of all ages.         In 1954 the Briery Branch Community Club was founded to create a needed meeting hall and a place for outdoor recreation.  The churches had none nor did the local school.  The resulting Community Center was formed with volunteer labor and fundraising suppers.

Cat's Cradle of the Shenandoah Valley, Inc.

Cat’s Cradle's mission is to ensure and maintain a safe, compassionate community for cats in the Shenandoah Valley.  We facilitate and promote spay/neuter and Trap, Neuter and Return (TNR), conduct foster-based rescue and adoption from local shelters, and provide pet retention and rehoming programs.  We aim to steadily decrease the intake of cats and kittens at local shelters and to ultimately end the euthanasia of healthy adoptable pets in our community.

Central Valley Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical Christian housing ministry that works to eliminate poverty housing from Harrisonburg and Rockingham County and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience. By having all people work together in equal partnershiip, CVHfH hopes to build new relationships and a sense of community, as well as new houses.
